GYMNASTICS: More than 400 gymnasts aged from 18 months to adults came together at Lynnsport on Saturday for the 2018 King’s Lynn Gymnastics Club Extravaganza evening.

A fantastic event saw gymnasts show their talents throughout the event, with displays of tumbling skills and gymnastics routines to more than 800 spectators in the sports hall.

About £3,100 was raised at the event, with more to come from a raffle, all of which will go to the gymnastics club for equipment, coach development and competitions.

Alive Leisure thanked EMG Motorgroup of King’s Lynn for sponsoring Alive Gymnastics and Ben Titmarsh, the EMG sales manager, presented some of the awards.

He said: “EMG are proud to be the sponsors of Alive Leisure Gymnastics, supporting this fantastic facility.”

The gymnastics fundraising committee were also thanked for supporting the event with all proceeds going towards vital funds for equipment, to assist gymnasts at competitions and to support the development.

Classes and lessons take place at Lynnsport in the dedicated first class gymnastics centre, with beginner classes at Downham Leisure.

Gymnasts enrol on the British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards, which start for children aged 18 months.

Talented gymnasts are selected to train with Lynn Gymnastics Club. For more information, contact Lynnsport, 01553 818001.
