GOLF: The Searles family dominated Heacham Manor’s Pro Am tournament.

The hotel’s fourth pro-am saw 11 PGA professionals descend on the course, with each one teaming up with three amateurs. 

The format was best two scores counting out of the four players. 

The Heacham Manor course played well and was in fantastic condition for the time of year.

All the players had a superb day and scoring proved that. 

The lead changed several times with the eventual winning team being professional Matt Cousens and his team of Paul, Vicky and Andrew Searle. They scored 90 stableford points.

Professional Steve Cipa came in second on 87 points with his team of Heacham Manor members Jon Gibson, Dave Leavis and lady captain Sophie De Winton. 

Third place fell to Darren Parker and his team of Jason Law, Ed Fowler and Derick Lloyd on 85 points.

Heacham Manor head professional Ray Stocker said: “It’s been a fantastic day, run really well with superb feedback on the course and event.
