Two people have been charged with murder following the death of a Downham Market man eight years ago.

Lester Aisthorpe, 58, of Basil Drive, Downham Market and Steven Louro, 42, of South Lynn Plain, King’s Lynn, have both been charged with the murder of Jan Hogan.

Mr Hogan’s body was found in his flat in Basil Drive, on May 23, 2010.

Both men also face a charge of perverting the course of justice.

A statement released by Norfolk police last Thursday said the charges had followed further investigations by the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team.

The pair were remanded in police custody and appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court last Friday.

The case was referred to Norwich Crown Court where on Monday it was further adjourned until January with a view to a trial taking place in April.
