Super skipper Robert Lambert has dropped a massive hint that he wants to stay racing in the UK next season – and with King’s Lynn.
Lambert was the subject of transfer speculation throughout last winter and at least two rival clubs made a back door approach to him, which didn’t go down well with Tru Plant Stars owner Keith Chapman.
But Lambert now says: “I’d probably say this is the happiest I’ve felt at King’s Lynn and I definitely hope we can sort something out pretty quickly so that I’m back here next year.
“I’ve made a lot of progress this season and I think being captain and being at No.1 has helped with that.
“After so many years here, I’m more than comfortable with the track.
“If I do ever miss a start for whatever reason, then I’m always confident I can make a pass or two and that’s pretty important.
“This is my local club and everything about it is just ideal for me.”
