They may only be little, but youngsters at a King’s Lynn nursery helped to donate food to help those in need.

Their efforts were the result of a harvest festival held at Twinkle Tots day nursery in Horsley’s Fields on Tuesday.

Parents watched proudly as their children sang songs and participated in presenting their food donations.

All the items were then taken to the King’s Lynn Foodbank which moved to the South Quay earlier this year.

Operations director for the nursery, Jonathan Tricks, said:

“All the children came together for it. It went absolutely fantastic.

“The parents really enjoyed it. We had some great feedback from the parents.”

Father Joshua Bell from Lynn’s All Saint’s Church and churchwarden Christine James attended the harvest festival.

Mr Tricks thanked colleague Katie Easter, childcare practitioner, for organising the hour-long event.

He said: “Katie really wanted to hold a harvest festival last year and this one is the second we have held. She organised everything and has done an amazing job.”
