More than 200 runners braved the rain for the Sandringham XK charity race.

The event raised funds for both Rudham Little Owls Pre-school and Rudham Academy for a second consecutive year.

Before the race, Zumba instructor Julie Austin led competitors in a short warm-up session.

The 10k race at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate started at 11am last Sunday.

The first runner to cross the finish line was Joshua Newman who completed the challenge in 35 minutes and 33 seconds. The first female runner was Sally Hurst in a time of 42 minutes and 54 seconds.

Youngsters enjoyed a fun run which was led by a cyclist from the King’s Lynn Cycling Club and they all received a medal.
