Zena Penty from West Norfolk Mind receives a cheque from the family and friends of Donna McGregor.

A charity bingo night raised more than £2,000 for mental health charity West Norfolk Mind.

Organised by Carol Edwards and the family and friends of Donna McGregor, it was hosted at The Wildfowler in Terrington St Clement and raised £2,173.40.

Zena Penty, volunteer co-ordinator for West Norfolk Mind, said: “Everyone involved in organising this event is very passionate about raising awareness and supporting local mental health services.

“We are sincerely grateful for the massive support of the local community who attended and supported the event with wonderful donated prizes. I would like to thank Carol and her team for all their hard work and The Wildfowler for its generosity.

“We are delighted they are organising another bingo on December 10 which I am sure will be equally popular.”
