Darren Seal with part of his haul from a superb session at Nar Valley.

ANGLING: Now the weather has settled, Nar Valley Fisheries’ Lake Geneva has hit the high notes with some impressive carp gracing members’ nets.

Regular member Darren Seal had a superb session this week.

A two-night stint resulted in five large bream to 8lb and a string of six carp amounting to 147lb.

Seal’s first fish was a bream, closely followed a 25lb 11oz carp.

A few hours passed before his next carp, which turned out to be 2oz short of his personal best, a 37lb 8oz mirror.

Next came another mirror of 27lb 8oz with a batch of three bream concluding day one.

A quiet period was broken by a nice brace of young mirrors, weighing in at 14lb 6oz and 15lb 10oz, before another bream got to the bait first.

To conclude his prolific session, a 26lb 5oz common carp made an appearance before everything was packed up.
