Supporters of the first hospice car show and family day helping to promote the new event.

The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House is gearing up for its first Car Show and Family Fun Day on Sunday.

Classic car owners will be showing off their pride and joy vehicles from 10am to 6pm near the Sandringham Visitor Centre.Owners have been asked to pre-book via the hospice’s website at a cost of £12 per vehicle as places are limited.

The Tesla car dealership from Cambridge and Read Hyundai of King’s Lynn are sponsoring the event and will have some of their cars on display.

East Winch-based Adrian Flux is sponsoring prizes for the car show which are due to be presented by West Norfolk Mayor, Nick Daubney.

The event promises a family day out with other attractions including fun fair rides, miniature donkeys, games, face painting, hair braiding, live music, food vendors, a licensed bar and more.

There will also be more than 50 stallholders selling a wide range of hand-crafted items and produce such as jewellery, gin and spirits, children’s clothes, old fashioned sweets, plants, fruit and veg and homeware.

Jessica Walker, community fundraiser at the Hillington-based hospice, said: “Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers are all looking forward to the car show and family fun day.

“It’s been a lot of hard work but we have been overwhelmed with the amount of interest from the public so far. Entry is free for visitors but people can support the hospice by making a donation in one of our collection buckets on the day.

“Every penny raised will go directly towards supporting people (and their families) in the local community living with life-shortening illnesses. Everyone is welcome so please come along and enjoy the day.”
