King’s Lynn was transformed into a magical wonderland for the town’s annual Fairytales and Legends event.

Princes and Princesses roamed the town centre last Sunday and the Corn Exchange was transformed into Sleeping Beauty’s palace.

There was also entertainment from St George and the dragon and a giant beanstalk in the Tuesday Market Place.

The event was organised by Vancouver Quarter manager Abbie Panks who said: “It might have been a bit wet for our fourth Fairytales and Legends but it certainly didn’t dampen the spirit of those attending.

“It was fantastic to see so many children and families dressed up and enjoying a fun-packed day. Last year we had 1,500 workshop sessions filled but this year we had well over 2,000.”

She added it was now a “firm favourite” on the town’s events calendar.
