One of King’s Lynn’s most prominent solicitors has celebrated its 80th birthday.

Kenneth Bush Solicitors marked the special occasion with a charity fundraising event outside the business’s premises in New Conduit Street last week.

Staff dressed up for the day, in fashions from the 1930s and 1980s, and manned pop-up stalls sold books and home-made cakes.

There was also a lucky dip for people to have a go at and balloons and lollipops were given away to youngsters.

Some £525 was raised and all the money will be donated to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Kirtsen Wheeler, probate executive at Kenneth Bush, said the firm was very pleased with the response received from the public.

“It was very positive and we had quite a crowd gathered around at lunchtime,” she said.

“The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is something that all local people benefit from, whether it is directly or through family and friends.”

Staff also enjoyed a celebratory summer party and barbecue in the evening.

Kenneth Bush was established in 1938 and has occupied its premises in New Conduit Street ever since, adding offices in King Street in 1992.
