Investigations were continuing yesterday after a man’s body was found in a ditch on the outskirts of King’s Lynn. 

  The body of a man aged in his 40s was discovered in a ditch off Saddlebow Road near to the Saddlebow Industrial Estate on Tuesday at about 12.45pm.

A spokesman for Norfolk police said the death was being treated as “unexplained” but was not believed to be “suspicious”.

Entrances leading to and from Saddlebow Road were closed to traffic and the area was cordoned off while crime scenes officers conducted enquiries.

A police statement  said: “As a result of previous police contact the matter has been referred to the Independent Office of Police Conduct as standard procedure.”
