King’s Lynn returned to the 20th century this week after an exciting two days of filming for a new blockbuster feature film.
Actors Paul Whitehouse and Dev Patel were in town as cameras rolled for the Armando Iannucci-directed film, The Personal History of David Copperfield.
The Purfleet and Saturday Market Place areas were transformed into a bustling Dickensian harbour and market with horses and carriages and actors in period costume.
Mr Iannucci even took to social media to thank the townsfolk for their help and co-operation.
The filming drew crowds of onlookers and the Tuesday Market Place was taken over by location and catering vehicles last Thursday and Friday.
