Stock car and banger racing round-up

MOTORSPORT: Willie Skoyles took what is now becoming a customary heat victory when the 2L stock cars were in action at King’s Lynn on Saturday.

It was a dominating performance by Skoyles as he finished well clear of European champion Diggy Smith, who came home in second place.

North Walsham’s Shane Emmerson won the meeting final.

The unlimited bangers saw Kieran Bowman as a lone man in the Predators and it was a classic predatory performance by Bowman.

He weighed in with several good hits and took home an individual full entertainer award, as well as guiding the Predators into a fantastic fourth place in the Entertainer League standings.

Racing returns to the Adrian Flux Arena tomorrow, 5.30pm.

With England playing Sweden in the World Cup football quarter final during the afternoon, fans will be able to enjoy the game on the biggest screen in town as it will be shown live from 3pm on the giant stadium screen.

In action will be the 1500cc bangers, micro bangers and juniorbangers.

Kieran Bowman faces a busy evening as he will be racing both classes of national bangers.

Downham Market’s Shaun Clarke will also be in action in the 1500cc bangers, along with Lynn’s Tim Rees and Paul Lovick.

Joining Bowman in the micro bangers will be Ryley Freestone, Terrington’s Ben and Josh Green and Tom Reynolds.

It is good to see Ben still hoping to race, despite suffering an injury last Saturday.

Harry Cobb and Robbie Dillon will both be in action in the junior bangers.
