A breast cancer sufferer is to step out tomorrow (Saturday) to 10-miles for raise funds for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Sandy Underwood, of Hillington, is undergoing chemotherapy at the King’s Lynn hospital  and the round trip between Heacham and Old Hunstanton has been scheduled for one of her rest weeks.

Proceeds from the walk will go to the West Norfolk Breast Care Unit.

The 54-year-old, who worked at the hospital for more than 20 years and is now a HIV nurse specialist at iCaSh in Lynn, is doing the walk with niece Megan Clarke and Megan’s mum, Julie Wilson.

It has been organised by Megan, 18, a nursing and paramedics student at Lynn’s College of West Anglia. Sandy’s husband Jonathan is a staff nurse at the hospital.

The walkers, who will be wearing pink T-shirts and collecting en route, aim to raise £500.
