A free festival organised by a number of West Norfolk churches will be held in King’s Lynn on Saturday, June 9.

Celebrate King’s Lynn will take place in The Walks from 10am to 4pm and will feature a host of free fun activities, including go karts, sumo wrestling, a bouncy castle, giant children’s slide and face painting.

There will also be a free barbecue and entertainment including drama, a circus performer and live music from Matt McCleary, King’s Lynn Street Church, The Flat Earth Disciples and Eternity Downham Market Band drama.

The 12 local churches involved in organising the event will be running games and have information stands. Other groups attending will include the Christian Motorcycle Association, Sally Beadle’s Bible Circus, Foodbank, Christians Against Poverty and Bridge for Heroes.

Celebrate King’s Lynn organiser Maarten Klem said: “The whole idea of Celebrate King’s Lynn is for the Christian churches around West Norfolk to put on an entirely free event for everyone from the local community to come and enjoy.

“Any other churches or Christian groups that want to join us are more than welcome, just get in contact.”
