Dishy Tangent booked their place on the stage at next month’s Festival Too.

The East London-based band won last Sunday’s Battle of the Bands 2018 final and will support headline act The Darkness in King’s Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place on Saturday, July 14.

The pop, funk and rap group also bagged a winning package of a photo shoot, recording time  and other festival slots.

Runner-up in the Twisted Melon Promotions-organised competition was The Visitors, who will appear at Festival Too on the same night as singer Pixie Lott on Saturday, July 7.

Competition organiser Triston Finnis said this year’s event had been “arguably the best ever contest”.

“Over five months, there has been more acts, more heats and a quality of act that surpassed any previous year,” he said.

A stage had been purpose-built at Lynn’s Duke’s Head Hotel for the final.

Other acts which performed on the night were The Killing Culture, Gentlemen, Powderhead, Oscar Corney.
