There was fun for all ages at Great Massingham Tennis Club’s fifth annual open day.

TENNIS: More than 100 people turned up for Great Massingham Tennis Club’s fifth open day.

As part of a nationwide event organised by the Lawn Tennis Association, it was a chance for everyone to try the sport for free, regardless of age or ability.

An adult beginners session started the morning, followed by various junior sessions including girls-only coaching and a ‘tots and nots’ class, giving parents the opportunity to learn the basics with their toddlers.

Experienced coach Jeremy Hodges joined Massingham’s resident coach Chris Sanders to deliver the fun day of tennis, along with club junior and Norfolk county player, Luca Ramasso.

There was the chance to use a ball machine, have a go at cardio tennis, relax with a burger or sample some of the club’s renowned cakes.

Massingham Tennis Club has three club sessions a week, a women’s morning, Saturday junior club, regular coaching for beginners, improvers and expert players and squad practice sessions.
