What a heartbreaking end to the season for King’s Lynn Town.

The Linnets have had one hell of a campaign but ultimately it ended in disappointment when they lost 2-1 to Slough in the Southern League Premier play-off final.

While there’s still so much to be proud about, I fear the pain may hang around for a fair while. Boss Ian Culverhouse is still off, superb right-back Cameron Norman is on his way too, and you have to wonder who else will head for the exit door.

Lynn have some amazing players who should be playing at a higher level – which sadly they can’t do at The Walks next term.
