Firefighters from King’s Lynn North fire station paid tribute to those killed in service during the National Firefighters’ Memorial Day.

During the ceremony in Kilham’s Way, group manager Scott Norman read a list of names of Norfolk firefighters who had lost their lives while protecting others.

Thousands of firefighters, as well as bereaved families, supporters and well-wishers, observed one minute’s silence at fire stations up and down the country.

The memorial day was organised by the Firefighters Memorial Trust and supported by the Fire Brigades’ Union.

It commemorated the 2,524 members of the service who have died in the line of duty.
