The Lifeboat Inn at Thornham has a new head chef, Peter Howard who started last month.
A spokesman for the business said he brings experience, strong leadership skills and fresh, innovative ideas to further develop the one AA rosette restaurant.
Born in Birmingham, Mr Howard grew up in Docking.
He started working in kitchens at the age of 14 and has mastered culinary skills in various restaurants across the country.
He has previously worked in West Norfolk and further afield in Sussex and at the National Trust’s Royal Botanic Garden in Wakehurst.
No stranger to The Lifeboat, Mr Howard had a short stint working at the Ship Lane premises back in the early 90s.
Mr Howard has already introduced some exciting menu changes, while still respecting customer’s favourites. General manager at The Lifeboat Ewen Thomson, said: “I know he will continue to drive our food offering forward as one of the best places to eat on the north Norfolk coast.
“Peter’s passion for his work in the kitchen and a great appreciation for creating fresh, excellent quality dishes is a great fit for The Lifeboat.”
Mr Howard said: “I am delighted to return to the north Norfolk coast to lead and build the team at The Lifeboat and make the restaurant even more popular and successful.”
