A well-known West Norfolk photographer has found himself on the other side of the camera for celebrating an anniversary milestone.
Golden couple Roy and Jill Williamson, of South Wootton, marked 50 years of marriage last Friday.
They tied the knot at Snettisham Church and held their reception at the former Kit Kat Club in Hunstanton in 1968 and honeymooned at a thatched motel in Cambridge then visited London.
Mr Williamson said: “It was a beautiful day. We had our photos taken in the sea which was a bit different. I had my trousers rolled up and was holding my wife in my arms.
“The sea wasn’t too cold, we didn’t really notice with all the excitement. It was a lovely warm day.”
Known for his press photography, Mr Williamson, who is now retired, was also a BBC cameraman and his wife worked at Sketchley Cleaners and then Scott and Son china shop in King’s Lynn.
The couple have two children, Stephen, who lives in Singapore and Katie, who lives in West Lynn.
The couple also have five grandchildren.
Mr Williamson said the secret to a happy marriage was “give and take”.
“We get on and we have always been a busy couple,” he added and joked: “I do what she tells me.”
