Youngsters had a hoot as they met some wise old creatures in Reffley Wood.

Around 78 children and adults attended the latest Under 5s Out and About group outing in King’s Lynn.

With a little help from parents and carers, the children made some owl puppets.

The group collected cards with pictures of what owls like to eat which were then ‘fed’ to a pretend owl.

Organiser Amy Ranger said the trail was a success which saw two other visitors take part.

She said: “Alana from the East Winch Wildlife Centre released some tawny owls and gave the children lots of information and Richard from Norfolk Owls brought his owls down, neither of them charged for it.

“The children got to see some tawny owls, barn owls and little owls, they thought it was amazing.”

The next Under 5s Out and About woodland walk will have an Easter theme and take place on Tuesday, April 3.
