It was smiles all round as excited children enjoyed a free visit to King’s Lynn Mart.

Members of the Showmen’s Guild teamed-up with Lynn’s Trinity Rotary Club to treat more than 400 pupils from a number of schools to a morning of fun.

Rotary chairman Bob Foster said: “It’s the children’s day out and at the last count we had 460 plus pupils.

“One of our members is a showman and he arranged to do this free of charge which is wonderful.

“The children are so excited to come here it is unbelievable.

“We had 120 children from Churchill Park School.”

Characters such as Peppa Pig were also on hand to greet and entertain the young visitors.

Lynn’s Whitefriars Primary Academy assistant headteacher Sarah Spooner said: “It means, for some of our children, the absolute world because they haven’t been able to come during the school holiday.

“The delight on their faces is absolutely amazing. That is what it is all about really.”
