The Princess Royal joined  members of a coastal charity for its 35th anniversary celebrations.

Princess Anne was a guest of the Hunstanton branch of Save the Children on Wednesday.

The Princess Royal, who became patron of the charity in 2016 after serving as its president since 1970, attended a celebration event at Old Hunstanton Golf Club.

Eighty guests had been invited for lunch and Princess Anne arrived in the afternoon when she met committee members and gave a short talk praising their fundraising work.

She was escorted by branch chairman  Christine Earnshaw and introduced to members – some have been with the branch for more than 30 years.

Princess Anne was greeted by pupils from the town’s Glebe House School who waved and cheered and presented flowers.
