Award-winners from Nelson Academy have been treated to a celebratory lunch with governors and staff.
Thirty pupils enjoyed a trip to Frankie and Benny’s restaurant in King’s Lynn last month as a special reward.
The meal recognised their efforts throughout the autumn term. Two children from each class at the Downham Market school were awarded certificates for either excellent academic achievement or for being an outstanding role model. Principal Sarah Wilson said: “We invited parents into the academy to attend an assembly where the governors handed out certificates.
“It has been another great success and we look forward to repeating the certificate giving and surprise celebration every term as a well done to the children for all their hard work.”
The incentive was introduced in 2016 to encourage pupils to work hard in the classroom.
