Pupils and staff at St Michael’s Academy in South Lynn are celebrating their most successful Christmas fair to date.

Youngsters on the school council organised the event with help from class teacher Natalie Darby and teaching assistant Naddy Nowrung.

Parents and carers were able to join the children to browse the stalls and take part in a raffle.

School business manager Jane Perham said £520 was raised at the event,

She said: “This time we had our own sweet stall and we were given vouchers from places like Strikes (in King’s Lynn) and Norfolk Lavender, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and QD – they have all been very generous.

“The children would like the money to buy some new updated books for the library.”
