CRICKET: Downham Town CC’s annual cricket week raised £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support and a cheque has been handed over to the town’s fund raising team.

The July event, held in memory of Kevin Winters, was organised by Ashleigh Corbett and comprised twenty/20 fixtures against Wisbech, a combined West Norfolk XI, and the annual Kevin Winters Memorial Match against British Sugar.

Also included was a youth tournament between Downham, Denver and Stow.

The club thanked Tracey and Peter Corbett, who ran hot food and ice cream stalls, Downham Town Sports Federation for the bar facilities, and the volunteer umpires.
