North Lynn-based charity Scotty’s Little Soldiers has launched a new Business Heroes initiative.
Five UK businesses have already signed-up to the project, set-up to help raise vital funds for bereaved armed forces children.
The charity was founded in 2010 by mum Nikki Scott, whose husband Corporal Lee Scott was killed while on duty in Afghanistan in 2009.
The Business Heroes initiative will be led by the charity’s new corporate fundraising manager, Kate Dring.
Businesses of all sizes have been asked to pledge support for the charity and, in turn, become part of an exclusive club.
Ms Dring said: “We know there are many people who haven’t heard of us and I believe they’ll be moved by the work this charity does. We want to reach like-minded people and provide them with opportunities where they can really make a difference to the lives of children who have lost a parent in the British armed forces.”
