A funeral service has been arranged for a Heacham man who died after an attack outside a sports bar.

Dean Jose, 47, died on September 2 after an incident in Brentwood during the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday, August 28.

He suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital at Romford but died five days later.

Mr Jose, husband of Maxine and a dad of two daughters, grew up in Harold Hill in Romford.

At the time of his death, the family said in a statement he was a “devoted husband and a loving father”.

After leaving school, he dedicated his life to helping disabled children, adults and those less fortunate than himself.

His family also said he was well known and well respected within the mobility industry and always went “above and beyond” his role as a rehabilitation specialist to help people fulfil their dreams.

A funeral service will be held at King’s Lynn’s Mintlyn Crematorium  on Friday, November 3.

The family has asked for any donations to go towards Nelson’s Journey, a charity which supports youngsters who have suffered a bereavement.

A man from Romford has since been charged in connection with Mr Jose’s death and is due to appear at a crown court in February next year.
