An independent financial advice firm in King’s Lynn has celebrated its 15th anniversary with an open day.

Guests at the Ring Associates event last Friday included West Norfolk Mayor Carol Bower.

The business has grown over the last decade and a half after starting out with just a small office and three staff.

Ring Associates is now based on the Tuesday Market Place and has 43 employees.

Director Simon Ring, who started the business in 2002, said it was all about providing “quality, financial advice”.

Mr Ring said: “I think one of the secrets to our success is we are local. It is all about understanding people.

“Financial advice has been dreadful in the country in recent years.  Here we use modern day technology and we encourage our clients to look at what is going on, look at national trends and then look at their money and compare.”

With a team of employees ranging in age from under 30 through to 60, the business is also focused on development and offers a trainee advisor scheme.

Mr Ring said: “It’s about being as qualified as they can be.

“We want them to have ambition. The most important thing is them having the right attitude. I always tell them to understand their clients and what they care about.”

Looking to the future, Mr Ring added: “Are we going to expand and grow in the same rate? I hope so.”
