Prize winners and club officials at King’s Lynn Golf Club’s annual presentation evening.

GOLF: King’s Lynn Golf Club held their annual presentation evening on Sunday.

Club captain Blair Rule and ladies captain Sally Bettinson presented competition winners with their trophies won during the golfing year.

The club had a successful year in county and national individual and team competitions with members reaching the Ladies Diamond Knockout semi-finals, the Ladies Young Cup semi-finals, Ladies County Scratch League Division Two final, Men’s NCGU Cullington Team final and Men’s NCGU Scratch Knockout final.

The club also won the Men’s Norfolk Amateur Scratch Team competition and won the Men’s NCGU Barnard Trophy for a third successive year, the first time this has happened in the competition’s history.

The Hudson Trophy was won by a team comprising James Weight, Jack Yule, Kale Heath and Matthew Chapman.

The Men’s County Seniors Handicap and Super Seniors scratch competition was won by Paul Arnold.

The Men’s Norfolk County Handicap champion was Ashley Johnson, while Jack Yule cleaned up with victories in the Men’s Norfolk Amateur Championship, Norfolk Open and Men’s Henry Craske Salver.

In the England Champion Club final, Lynn finished fourth overall, with Jack Yule the best individual.

Blair Rule concluded the evening by reporting that Jack Yule has turned professional and on behalf of the club wished him all success in his future career.
