The skies are set to sparkle over King’s Lynn next week at the town’s free annual firework display.
Fawkes in The Walks returns on Friday, November 3 and promises to be a spectacular sight.
The event, now in it’s ninth year, will open at 6pm. West Norfolk Mayor Carol Bower is due to light the bonfire at 6.30pm and the firework display is scheduled to begin at 8pm.
And even though Fawkes in the Walks has a traditional feel, this year will have a modern twist with its very own Snapchat filter.
Between 5pm and 9pm, users of the social media app can add the filter to their pictures.
Deputy West Norfolk Council leader Elizabeth Nockolds, cabinet member for culture, heritage and health, said: “Fawkes in The Walks is set to be as spectacular an event as usual, and I’d urge everyone to come along and join us.
“We’ve planned an amazing firework display for everyone to enjoy in a safe and controlled environment – don’t miss it.”
West Norfolk Council will also be sharing any snaps that are saved and posted to Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #FawkesinTheWalks.
Although the event is free to attend, there will be a voluntary collection to help cover costs.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and people are advised not to bring pets to the event.
The entrance to The Walks from Seven Sisters/Extons Road will be closed on the evening from 7.45pm.
Parking will be available at St James’ multi-storey.
