A new Hunstanton barber shop has proved popular opening seven days a week.

Since Town Barber in the High Street opened in the summer, husband-and-wife team Sharon and Amine Benzerka have found Sunday is one of their busiest times.

“We’ve had people waiting outside on a Sunday,” said Mrs Benzerka.

“With people working and children at school in the week, people sometimes struggle to find time. We often have dads bring their sons on a Sunday.”

After 15 years working as a barber for other establishments, Mr Benzerka decided to go solo.

“It was always something he wanted to do, he loves being a barber, he loves to do anything new and can style hair from different cultures,” said Mrs Benzerka.

The shop’s interior has a modern theme with a nod to comic heroes which has proved popular with youngsters.

Mr Benzerka said he was also aiming to expand in the future.

“I would like to push the business forward and hopefully take on staff and train people from college. I would like to give something back to the community,” he said.

The Town Barber is open from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 1pm on Sundays.
