Crowds turned out to watch 30 cadets from the 42F King’s Lynn Air Training Corps exercise their Freedom of the Borough on Sunday.

It was only the second time the squadron has exercised the right.

West Norfolk Mayor Carol Bower   headed the civic procession and said: “I felt very proud of our young cadets as they paraded so smartly.

“They showed us great promise for the future.

“It was my pleasure to be able to welcome the cadets to a reception in the town hall after the parade, where all who met them were impressed with their commitment and their politeness.

“It was also wonderful to see so many residents of the borough enjoying the parade and showing their support.”

The cadets performed drill manoeuvres on the Tuesday Market Place.

They were then inspected by the Mayor before heading to the town hall for the civic reception.
