Two life-long friends have joined forces to open a shop set to  take customers back in time.

Liam Baker and Karl Storf have opened Retro! Records and Toys at 8 St James Street in King’s Lynn.

The shop opened last month and, so far, has received a positive response from customers.

Mr Baker said: “There’s no other shop like it in town.

“We are quite quirky ourselves and wanted to have a shop which is something different.

“We’re into nostalgia and in today’s current climate I think people like to look back to when times were good.”

The friends met at Whitefriars Church of England Primary School in Lynn at the age of six.

Over the years Mr Baker collected vinyl records while Mr Storf collected toys, so the pair decided to bring their interests together and began selling some items from their vast collection.

Now their hobbies have quickly escalated into a full-blown business venture.

Mr Baker said: “We  only  said a little while ago we should open a shop with all the stuff we have and a few weeks later, here we are.”

Retro! Records and Toys is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm and closed on Sundays.
