MOTOR SPORT: King’s Lynn’s AReeve Performance Motorsport are enjoying a successful season on the track.

The Oldmedow Road-based team ran nine cars during the Brands Hatch Mini Festival, with Aaron Reeve chalking up three podium places there, to complete six in a row after success at Silverstone and Rockingham.

The 28-year-old, from Gayton, said things had not started well at Silverstone, with car issues meaning a fourth place and a DNF (did not finish) in the first two races.

“But then we got P3 at the final race and qualified in pole at Rockingham,” said Reeve.

“I led the race for two laps but finished third.

“It was a reverse grid for the second race and we started fifth but came through to finish third again.”

At the Brands Hatch event, Reeve finished third, second and third but Reeve still had something to celebrate.

“I narrowly missed out on pole position but achieved the fastest lap in race three.”

There was some success with AReeve Performance Motorsport’s Andy Godfrey, from Bury St Edmunds, driving a Cooper Am, taking his first win in race three, leading from the start”

“We’re looking forward to the next Mini challenge open class round at Oulton Park on August 19, aiming for more podiums and P1,” said Reeve, who thanked sponsor Luke Loades of Rounce & Evans.
