CYCLING: There is only one week remaining to get in your entries for the King’s Lynn weekend of cycling.

Next Friday is the last day to enter the first Lynn Cycling Club West Norfolk Sportive.

The organised cycling event over three fantastic routes through the West Norfolk countryside takes place on Sunday, June 4 and is over three distances – 25, 50 and 75 miles – all leaving and finishing at Lynnsport from 9am onwards.

Entry is £10 for the 25m, £15 for the 50m and £25 for the 75m with proceeds going to the A-T Society charity.

All routes are marked with downloadable maps and club riders will be participating in all distances to help riders along the way. There will also be mechanical assistance and a recovery vehicle on hand, supported by Pedal Revolution.

The entry fee includes a free coffee/cake voucher for Lynnsport, free parking, use of changing facilities, finisher’s medal, a club car sticker, entry number, free refreshment stop (50m and 75m routes only) and an Alive fitness seven-day pass.

Lynn CC thanked local businesses for their sponsorship and support: Frimstones, Your Local Paper, Alive Leisure, Pedal Revolution and Active Norfolk.

On Saturday, June 3, Lynn CC Go Ride Juniors will be attempting to cover the mileage from John O’Groats to the Champs-Élysées in Paris by completing 3,838 (954 miles) laps of the Lynnsport athletics track. Registration is from 8.30am (with an hourly and family charge structure) and hour time slots can be booked.

Other activities going on during the day include a treasure hunt, tombola stall, cake stall and bouncy castle.

Money raised on the day will be split 50-50 between A-T Society and Go Ride.
