SOUL band The Real Thing have been confirmed as the headline act for Festival Too’s Back in the Day event on July 7.

The multi-million-selling act are best known for their debut hit single You To Me Are Everything, as well as Can’t Get By Without You, Whenever You Want My Love and Can You Feel the Force.

The Liverpool-based trio are celebrating 40 years on the road  with an extensive UK tour, including Festival Too.

Featuring the group’s three original vocalists Eddie Amoo, Chris Amoo and Dave Smith, along with their five-piece band, the trio deliver a funky show with a strong retro flavour mixing their classic songs wih contemporary tunes.

Chris said: “There’s always going to be a sense of nostalgia about our music. It’s the soundtrack to so many people’s lives and that will never die.”

The band continue to tour up and down the country, selling out venues, including the Jazz Cafe in London, and they regularly perform at 70s and 80s festivals alongside artists such as Rick Astley, Boy George, Belinda Carlisle, Kool and the Gang and Chic.
