ROW: Ruben Clemente and Channel Challenge winner Alex Loft present £100 to Carly Hain of Speada Picture: Alive Leisure

DONATIONS have been presented following a 22-mile charity challenge at leisure centres in West Norfolk.

Members of Alive Leisure in Downham Market, King’s Lynn and Hunstanton signed-up to either swim or row the Channel in the pool or on gym equipment between October and December last year.

Everyone who achived the distance was entered into a draw to win £100 for themselves and another £100 for their chosen charity.

Winner Alex Loft, a pupil at Flitcham Primary School, rowed 22 miles at Lynnsport.

The ten-year-old decided to donate the money to West Norfolk youth charity Speada because of the support it provided a friend and his family.

Alex and senior fitness consultant Ruben Clemente presented the cheque to Carly Hain, lead youth worker with the charity, at Lynnsport.

Fellow winner Deanna Martin has decided to support Dementia UK.
