International committee members of the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn took to the street to raise awareness and collect donations for a worldwide appeal.
The event was organised on behalf of Rotary International’s commitment to support the East African Famine Appeal. Rotarians were in King’s Lynn’s High Street with an information stand last weekend.
Ron Jackson, the club’s press officer, said: “The club would like to thank all members of the public who kindly contributed.
“As a result, the club will round up the amount collected and send a donation of £500.” Rotary Great Britain and Ireland says famine affects 16 million people in East Africa.
