A TOTAL of 1,000 Easter hunters went in search of chocolate on Saturday at a  special egg trail in King’s Lynn.

With maps in hand, their mission was to track down 15 giant Easter eggs hidden around the town. There was an Easter treat in store for those who managed to find 10 or more eggs in the Vancouver Quarter-organised event.

And one family is also set to win an egg-stra Easter treat in the form of £250 shopping vouchers when a prize draw is made next week for those who discovered all 15 eggs.

“After the success of our Halloween events, we decided an Easter Egg hunt was a definite for this year’s calendar,” said Abbie Panks, centre manager for the Vancouver Quarter.

“It was a lovely event and the beautiful weather helped. We hope everyone had fun and look forward to seeing them return to some of our upcoming free, family-friendly events.”
