BASKETBALL: The u16 basketball team at King Edward VII Academy in King’s Lynn have enjoyed a successful season.
As well as being crowned West Norfolk district and Norfolk county champions, the team reached the last 16 of the English Schools Championship.
They lost narrowly
75-68 to reigning champions Northampton Grammar, School for Boys.
KES head of boys PE Ross McNeil said: “The lads have worked hard all season and been a credit to the school.
“They have really developed as a group and can be very proud of their county and regional success.
“Losing to Northampton by only seven points was a great effort.”
He thanked coach James Bamfield for his continued outstanding contribution to the KES School of Basketball and added: “His commitment and passion to develop all pupils at KES is refreshing to see and this inspires all the pupils who attend training, week in week out.”
