FOOTBALL: Tim Pepper’s goal was not enough to stop Dersingham Rovers dropping back into bottom spot in Division One of the Anglian Combination.

A 4-1 defeat at North Walsham Town, coupled with Holt’s 3-3 draw at Wymondham, sent Rovers back to the foot of the table.

Chez Rust rattled home a hat-trick as Gayton United stayed top of Division Three.

Oliver Parker and Dale Stokes also struck in a 5-2 win at Sheringham Reserves.

Redgate Rangers’ slump continued as they fell to a fourth consecutive defeat, going down 3-1 at Swaffham Town Reserves. However, two awarded wins keep them in the promotion hunt. Danny Jezeph was their marksman.

Mark Smith took his month’s tally against Horsford Reserves to seven with a hat-trick in a 4-1 away win.

However, Town made harder work of things than in their home game, which they won 15-0, being held 1-1 at
half-time. Tom Gilbert got the other goal.

Two goals from Daniel King pushed Castle Acre Swifts level with Division 5N leaders Aylsham Reserves in a 2-1 win over their title rivals.

Gayton Reserves also closed in on top spot with a 7-4 success against Hellesdon Reserves.

Corey Brady grabbed four goals with Tom Cunliffe, Ateko Opaluwa and Chris Smith also netting.

Luke Askew, Jon Coe and Mehmet Sasmaz were among the Narborough scorers in their  4-0 win at Martham Reserves.

Outwell Swifts missed the chance to put more space between themselves and the nether regions of the Cambs League’s Premier Division.

One goal was enough to send them to defeat at Gamlingay United.

Upwell Town Reserves spoiled Chatteris Town As promotion hopes with a 2-2 away draw in Division 4B.
