CHALLENGE: Simon Drewery who is preparing for a fundraising coastal walk

A FORMER King’s Lynn man is to trek the Norfolk coastline in a bid to raise money for a children’s hospital.

Simon Drewery will be walking 52 miles from Old Hunstanton to Walcott on April 3.

He said: “I decided to do the trek initially as I wanted to just get away from the rat race for a few days.

Mr Drewery will be raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. “I have family connections with Great Ormond Street and have always supported them,” he said.

Mr Drewery, who now lives in Norwich, will celebrate his 30th birthday on April 7, which is the last day of his trek and plans to mark the occasion with “a pint or two”.
