THIS week of achievement for the people of Lynn just keeps on going.
Yes, we celebrate the amazing 100th birthday of former prisoner of war Jack Fleming.
Yes, we celebrate the inclusion in L’Oreal’s campaign for diversity in fashion of two Lynn models Jordan Bone and Chez Rust.
Yes, we celebrate the decision by a council panel to recommend that cabinet “in principle” invest in setting up a new lottery to help good causes in the area.
And to top it all off Your Local Paper today celebrates its fourth birthday – four years of expansion, four years of service to the community, four years of bringing readers the very top news, views, the best in property, motors, jobs and classified advertising, sport and competitions.
To mark our fourth big birthday your favourite read is giving away 400 exclusive goodie bags. It’s a big, big THANK YOU to all of you, our army of readers, advertisers and contributors.
We have 400 exclusive goodie bags, and we will be giving away 100 of them each week for four weeks starting today, Friday, March 17 – our fourth birthday. You will have to collect our coupon published in the paper each week – only one per household – and bring it to our office in King Street, King’s Lynn between noon and 2pm today and for the next three Fridays, March 24, 31 and April 7. Bags are given on a first come, first served basis and content may vary.
Contents range from Booker Cash and Carry water and flavoured water, post it notes from Office Wise, and other goodies from Adrian Flux, the Stories of Lynn and CGM, Downham Tandoori, Alive Leisure, Searles Leisure Resort, and Medals for All, PLUS a range of exclusive limited edition Your Local Paper freebies!
Our giveaway also celebrates our publication increase to 24,000 copies, the largest and market leading newspaper in West Norfolk and one of the few titles to be still growing in the UK. With our recently redesigned, busier and bristling pages packed with bigger pictures, exclusives on people like Jack, Jordan, and last week’s cracker on Rob Marsden and Ed Sheeran, community news, sport, property, motors, jobs and classifieds, we lead the field. Our recently launched new mobile-friendly first class website AND NEW digital edition is also FREE for all and proving a great hit with our readers.
YLP director, Alan Taylor, said: “This week’s newspaper sums up all that we are within the community and how we have grown with you in the last four years. Good news at the very heart of the town and West Norfolk.
“The team cannot be happier at how far we have come to be the best in the area. We all thank you.
“I hope and believe you will enjoy YLP for many years to come.”
