Hundreds of South Lynn residents have signed a petition after the Post Office announced a proposal to move its London Road branch.
The post office is currently based in Whites Premier Store at 32 London Road, but could move to a separate building at 58 London Road.
Pam Bisla, who owns the shop with husband Satnam Singh, said: “This has really shocked our customers. They have set up a petition to stop the move and between 500 and 600 people have signed it already.”
Mrs Bisla was particularly concerned that the new location could also include a newsagents.
She said: “We bought this property with the intention of taking on the post office one day. We don’t know our future here now.”
