Ali Price was on winning side

RUGBY UNION: Two King’s Lynn-born players were in action in the Six Nations at Murrayfield on Saturday.

And it was former West Norfolk junior Ali Price who was celebrating, after helping Scotland to a 29-13 victory over George North’s Wales side.

Price was called in for his first start after injury ruled out captain Greig Laidlaw. And he grabbed it, with BBC reporter Tom English calling him “wonderful”.

It followed two appearances from the bench and Price said: “What an awesome atmosphere. I loved every minute of it.”

By contrast, British Lion North was making his 67th appearance for Wales, but his team fell to a depleted home side, a first defeat to Scotland since 2007.
