A King’s Lynn hotel has been named as the Best Western Large Hotel of the Year for the second year running.

Knights Hill Hotel and Spa, which has 79 bedrooms, was announced as the winner at an awards ceremony at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.

Bernard Ducker, general manager at the Grimston Road hotel, said: “Customer service is at the heart of our ethos and we always strive to give our guests the best possible experience, so we’re thrilled to receive this award from Best Western for the second year running.”

The hotel, which celebrated its 30th birthday last year, has grown from a working farm to a four star hotel with a leisure club and spa.

Rob Payne, chief executive officer of Best Western GB, said the business was a worthy winner of an award which celebrated “our great properties and the brilliant people that help make us such a special collection of independent hotels”.

The awards were announced by radio food and wine presenter Nigel Barden.
