Fairstead shoppers have helped to raise £1,541 for the Roxburgh Children’s Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.

The money was raised through the sale of a range of products at the Nisa store on the Lynn estate, with a proportion of the profits from those products going into the Make a Difference Locally charity which supports local causes. Store owner Benita Desai said: “It’s great to be a part of the local community and to be able to support the local children and hospital, whether it’s for toys or equipment for the centre.”

Michelle Jeynes, a staff nurse at the Roxburgh Centre, said: “We are very grateful and it is a lovely surprise to receive the donation.”
